My personal opinion is that Columbus is only calling him a back-up at this time because he kinda of an "unknown" here in the states. But let him get a chance at starting some games and getting a feel for the smaller ice and a few rule changes and anything is possible. I'm very glad to see him get the chance that he has been waiting so long for.
I heard your news of the retirement. I think he was the heart and soul of the Detroit Red Wings and I will be very interested to see how the team responds without him next season. Maybe this will help my Columbus team :)!!!
