Hi.
The Polish league is pretty good! In their first division, 3 of the 4 top clubs played in the IHL (MHL- Mednarodna (International) Liga).
The MHL consists of the best clubs from Slovenija (3), Croatia (1), Hungary (2) and Poland (3). Two years ago, there was a Slovak team, Zvolen II.
WOJAS PODHALE, DWORY SA UNIA &
GKS TYCHY were the three clubs and offered a great show during the season.
Stoczniowiec wasn't part of the MHL but still managed 3rd in the Polish League.
In my opinion, the caliber is a notch higher than french and british hockey. They compete very well with the best clubs from Belarus, Latvia, etc. Comparing it to German hockey, I'd say it's somewhat like their 2nd division.
What I like about Polish hockey is that they play like both eastern and western European hockey. It's very nice to watch. The fans are awesome too!!! Lots of fireworks, flags, singing, and stuff. But in August, you'll only get to see exhibition games. But in August, they mainly practice.
So that's my opinion. I hope I helped you out somehow. If you need some more, feel free to ask.
Bye
