I wasn't trying to dismiss other peoples' opinions, and if you read my post carefully you will see that my comment started with "probably most of the people that have commented have not seen British Ice hockey"... i knew there would be British posters that agreed that British hockey is not near the top in Europe, as i am one of them. I am merely pointing out that it is not as awful as people have been making out.
I am well aware that Adam Calder and Andreas Moborg, and probably Lehman if he goes to Europe will not be in the top tier of the sport in Germany or Sweden, but i was using them as examples of the fact that someone said that any British team would struggle in European lower leagues. If these players from British teams can thrive in the 2nd or even 3rd leagues of one of the best ice hockey nations in Europe then who is to say that Coventry or any other couldn't survive in the German or Swedish 2nd or 3rd leagues.
I have listened to other peoples' opinions and i expect people to give mine the same attention. I dont think my view is the only right one, and i have by no means rubbished everyone else's point of view. In fact, i agree with most of them. I just wanted to show that players that come through the British leagues can play in Europe.
