As in a fixed draw?
Regarding the setup: I think the only possible way to get this thing started financially is to play the whole group in one weekend like the Continental Cup at the moment. I know it's far from ideal, but I'm sure many other teams don't have the finances to travel from A to B while they have struggled all summer to stay alive in their national league. How about the many amatuer/semi-pro leagues? Those players work 40 hour a week, and can't just get time off for a "fancy" game in Italy or so.
I support the thought of a European Super League, but it gives too many practical problems I fear other than for the true top teams, and even that league failed because of lack of finances and sympathy from the fans.
PS. I'll see whether I can have an interview with the IIHF about this issue.
