Leagues in Europe are largely nationally based. The major goal for most teams is to win their national championship. There are two tournaments for European club teams, but these fit more or less into the regular season schedules of their domestic leagues. Some nations combine forces to produce a border-crossing league of a higher level than possible within their boundaries. There is also a number of teams who compete in national leagues of another country, but these are mainly limited to lower divisions. League StandingsLeagues Info

![]() Here we see some colourful action in the Danish league, between Rungsted Cobras (red) and 1999 runners-up Frederikshavn Whitehawks. Although many top Danish players earn their Kroner abroad, mostly in Germany and Sweden, the league is of a reasonably high standard. North American and Eastern European imports add to its flavour. |
