National Team Competition
Continental Cup
The Continental Cup is the grass-roots level of European international competition. A number of
teams from every hockey-playing country in Europe are invited to the tournament which takes
place from September to December. There are less strict regulations for admission than in the
EHL.
The format is simple. The teams are seeded into four-team groups, based on previous results
of that nation in international competition. The winners of each group advance to the next
round. Each group is played on a long weekend (Friday-Sunday) at one venue. It is the
traditional format used by the European Cup in the last 15 years of its existence.
Round 1 was played September 26-28, Round 2 October 17-19 and Round 3 November 21-23. Find scores and standings in the right column.
The Continental Cup Super Final will be played in Gomel, Belarus January 8-11.
