- IIHF News release

The Disciplinary Committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation has suspended Russian player Maxim Mamin for two years from all competition or activity authorized or organized by the IIHF or any IIHF member national association.

The Deciding Panel of the committee announced the decision on June 16. Mr. Gerhard Mösslang (GER), Mr. Ivo Eusebio (SUI) and Mr. Janko Popovic (SLO) were the panel members with regards to this case.

Maxim Mamin, 21, tested positive in a random doping control on January 2, 2008 following the game Russia – Czech Republic at the 2008 IIHF World Championship in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
