Kazakhstan scores two but loses big again
Kazakhstan scores their first two goals of the tournament when the Czech Republic wins 10-2.
It took 187 minutes and 17 seconds before it finally came, Kazakhstan's first goal at the 2009 World Juniors. The 17,664 spectators cheered when Oleg Onischenko scored. But by then the Czechs had already scored two goals and when Konstantin Savenkov finished the scoring with the second goal for Kazakhstan the Czechs had already scored 10.
The Czechs reached double digits already after 36 minutes and did a nice work capitalizing on their chances scoring on more than 1 out of 3 shots during the first two periods.
Jan Kana scored four goals and a made a real hat trick when he scored three straight goals in the second period.
For the Czech team Russia now awaits them in the quarter finals while Kazakhstan probably will have problems to survive the relegation round.
