WJC U18 is on it's way
39 goals scored on the first day of play.
The IIHF World U18 Championship has started. This year's tournament is played in USA and the hosts had a good start to the tournament when they defeated Norway 8-0. Sweden had a surprisingly easy win against the Czechs when they won 7-0. Canada won according to plans against Germany 11-2. The game was tied after 20 minutes but the maple leafs exploded for seven goals in the second period. The closests game of the day was a key win for Finland against Russia 7-4. The actions continues today and then also Slovakia and Switzerland enters the tournament.
