Russia and USA in U18 final
Key win for Germany in the relegation round.
Russia and USA will play in the U18 World Championship final. Russia lost to Finland in the first round 4-7 but won the semi final 4-0. The Russian goaltender Igor Bobkov made enormous 51 saves to get the shotout. Evgeni Kuznetsov was involved in all goals with his two goals and three assists. In the other semi final USA beat Canada 2-1. Canada had the lead after two periods but USA came back and turned the game around.
In the relegation round Germany won an important win and will stay out of relegation if they beat Norway and Slovakia loses to Switzerland. In the game today Germany had the lead 4-1 against Slovakia who came back and tied the game but Germans managed to win the important penalty shoot out.
