Slow started Americans defeat Austria
Four goals in the last period give a 6-1 win.
USA defeated Austria 6-1 on the second playing day of Group C. The Americans are qualified for the next stage while Austria will have to beat Latvia to avoid the Relegation Round.
Dustin Brown led the American team with one goal and two assists. His goal was the first of the game at 15:11.
Drew Stafford made it 2-0 at 31:04 and Markus Peintner scored the only Austrian goal a few minutes later.
In the third period Austria got many penalties and USA ran of to a 6-1 win after goals by Patrick O’Sullivan, Jason Blake, Lee Stempniak and Matt Niskanen.
