Overtime win for Belarus against Norway

Ruslan Salei scored with 25 seconds remaining of the sudden death period.

Belarus got 2 important points in the Qualifying Round of the World Champonship against Norway with a 3-2 overtime win. Norway had a 2-0 lead but Belarus managed to get back and win the game.

Ruslan Salei scored the winning goal at 4:35 of the overtime assisted by Aleksei Kalyuzhny and Mikhail Grabovsky.

Patrick Thoresen opened the scoring in the first period and Norway got a 2-0 lead early in the second period when Mats Trygg scored a power-play goal. Belarus replied shortly after when Aleksei Ugarov scored. Mikhail Grabovsky tied the game early in the third period.
