Easy win for USA
Three points by Backes in 6-2 win
USA had an easy night when they defeated France 6-2. David Backes scored one goal and two assists to give USA a 3-0 lead. USA also made it 4-0 before France was allowed back into the game and Yorick Treille and Pierre Edouard Bellemare put France on the score board.
France's Benoit Quessandier was sent off with a game misconduct for slashing in the first period and USA had a lot of power plays in this game. Shots on goal were 41-16 in favour of Team USA.
USA will tomorrow play Russia in a group final.
