Kapanen gives Finland the overtime win

Sami scores both Finland's goal in the 2-1 win against Slovakia.



Slovakia made one of their best games in the tournament so far but still lost the game against Finland after overtime. Sami Kapanen was the hero of the day scoring both the Finnish goals

Kapanen gave the Finns the lead with a box play goal. Lubos Bartecko tied the game early in the second period and after that no more goals were scored in regular time and the game went to overtime.

Slovakia will face their neighbours the Czech Republic tomorrow in a very important game in the hunt for a place in the quarter finals. Finland are already qualified for the quarter finals
