Germany beats Hungary
Three power play goals in a game with many penalties
Already relegated Hungary meet Germany in the last relegation round game.
Germany managed to get three times more shots on goal in the first period but the score was tied after the first 20 minutes. Germany went ahead with 3:11 gone on a power play after Moritz Muller scored. Hungarian equalized at 17:09 on a two men advantage. It was through first championships goal by Andras Horvath.
In second period both teams took many penalties as the period total came up to 32 minutes. Germans managed to score on one of the as Michael Bakos took them back in front. Game did calm down in the final period. Despite again having more shots Germany couldn't break down Hungarian defense any more. Germany got their first win of the championships leaving Hungary the only winless team of the tournament.
