First loss for Canada

Finland wins after penalty shot but Canada wins the group

Canada got their first loss of the tournament after 3-4 against Finland. But as the game was tied after regular time Canada got one point and won the group before Finland.

Finland had the lead both 2-0 and 3-1 but Canada came back and tied the game 3-3 after two goals by Dany Heatley. All Canadian goals were scored on the power play.

Shots on goal after 60 minutes were 48-30 in favour of Finland but despite that the game ended with a 3-3 draw. No goals were scored in the overtime. After seven rounds of penalty shots Hannes Hyvönen scored the game winner for Finland.

Canada will play Latvia in the quarter finals while Finland will play USA.
