Late goal takes Russia to the final
Konstatin Gorovikov's late goal sends USA out of the tournament
Last year's champions are the first team to reach the final. After a very close game Russia defeated USA 3-2 in the first semi final. Konstantin Gorovikov scored the game winner less than two minutes before the end of the game when he deflected a shot from Radulov on a power play.
The first period was without any scoring, but in the second period the teams scored two goals each. Dustin Brown broke the ice at 3:46 but Ilya Kovalchuk turned the game around for Russia at first he made 1-1 and four minutes later his shot hit Frolov's chest and was deflected into the goal. However before the end of the period Kyle Okposo scored a very nice goal when the Russians just had killed a penalty.
The third period had chances for both teams, but in the end it was Russia who got the game winner at 58:13.
