Player of the Month

The European Hockey.Net European Player of the Month is awarded to the player with the most oustanding performance over the course of the month

Nominations are collected at the end of each month, then a vote by the site's admin team decides the winner.

February 2007

January 2007

Czech winger Martin Prochazka is nearing the end of his career, but still managed to capture the award for January.

December 2006

Martin Kariya wins the December award for his performance in the Finnish SM-Liiga.

November 2006

The winner of the November European Player of the Month award is Pavel Brendl of Mora IK in the Swedish Elite league.

October 2006

The October Player of the Month award has been won by Finnish forward Kimmo Rintanen.

September 2006

For the second time, Russian forward Aleksei Morozov has captured eurohockey.net's Player Of The Month award.

May 2006

For leading Sweden to a historical victory at the 2006 World Championship in Riga, Kenny Jönsson wins the May award.

April 2006

The April award goes to Aleksei Morozov for his part in helping Ak Bars Kazan take the Russian Championship.

March 2006

Reto von Arx collects the March award, for his performance in the Swiss play-offs.

February 2006

Following the 2006 Torino Olympics, February's award goes to Nicklas Lidström.

January 2006

Patrick Yetman playing for Norwegian team Storhamar Dragons wins the first award of 2006.

December 2005

Miroslav Hala picks up the award for December 2005, for an outstanding perforance in goal.

November 2005

The winner of the European Hockey.Net Player Of The Month Award for November 2005 is Vasily Koshechkin.

The October 2005 European Hockey.Net Player Of The Month award goes to the Finnish player who scored 5 goals in a game for the first time in fifteen years - Tony Salmelainen.

The first 2005-06 European Hockey.Net Player Of The Month award travels to Kazan, Russia. 25 year-old Sergei Zinoviev picks up the award.

May 2005

For an outstanding team performance for the Czech Republic, during the 2005 World Championships in Austria, the May 2005 award goes to Jaromir Jagr.

April 2005

Henrik Lundqvist wins April 2005 - the first player to win in consecutive months!

March 2005

The winner for December 2004 is Tim Thomas of Jokerit in Finnish SM-Liiga.

November 2004

The winner for November 2004 is Marian Hossa of Mora IK in Elitserien (Sweden) and HK Dukla Trencin (Slovak Extraliga).

October 2004

The first winner of this award is Jukka Voutilainen of Finnish HPK Hämeenlinna.
