Swedish All Star Game
The Elitserien All-Star game was for the first time played between a club team and the All-Star team called Hockeyligan Allstars. Luleå hosted the show as a part of the club's 25 years anniversary. The team from northern Sweden surprised the stars by winning the Skills Competition and getting a tie in the actual game. As in all All-Star games there were many goals, but only in the beginning. Eight of the ten goals were scored in the first half of the game but when Gusten Törnqvist and Henrik Lundqvist replaced Daniel Henriksson and Stefan Liv in the nets, the goalscoring lost pace. They only allowed one goal each.
Allstars took the lead 1-0 and 2-1 but Luleå managed to come back and have the lead 3-2 after the first period. Johan Davidsson tied the game early in the second period. Davidsson, the only player in the All-Star team that has played in NHL, was named the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP) on his birthday. After two periods Hockeyligan Allstars were up with one goal, 5-4, but Luleå's veteran Roger Åkerström tied the game 12.17 into the last period with a beautiful goal set up by Fredrik Svensson and Hans Huczkowski. The former star of Luleå and Björklöven, Lars-Gunnar Pettersson played for the Allstars in the third period. The players donated all their fees to charity.

The Skills Competitions ended in a tie and was decided by penalty shootout that Luleå won. Among the individual winners were Pär Bäcker who won the technical skating and Petri Liimatainen who had the hardest shot (147km/h).
