Playing Hockey In Europe
These pages have been written by eurohockey.net with the help of two North-American players who are currently playing in Europe, "player to player" who posts on our forum, and Trevor Bremner. We'd like to thank them both for their help, and we hope this page will not just help you, but will result in you having a glorious and happy career in Europe!
It seems that there has been an excess of players coming onto this site looking for a place to play and asking the same questions. You as players can use this as a start for the information that you are requesting.
Firstly let me say that this is more of a fan based website but there are some players who do contribute. We have gotten and responded to many questions asking about how to contact teams, agents, pay etc...
Hopefully this will help you answer some of those questions, and help you find the information that is on this website. Let me first say that I as a player, I do not know everything and there are probably some errors in this. This is only my personal experience and I will be trying to answer some of the key questions to the best of my ability and knowledge.
Let me say this as my disclaimer, hockey in Europe is not for everyone and at the top level it is very competitive, it has been my experience that most North Americans underestimate the level of hockey and overestimate the level of pay so with that let us begin.
