Buddy, cool down a bit on this. Apart from your joy of watching a Russian play in NHL, there's also another side to it. The club that made him what he is now did spend a lot of money and efforts on him. And there comes an NHL team that says it wants him, with no compensation paid to his mother club, his frustrated domestic fan base, who also had some expectations. Don't be so biased towards the self-centered NHL, there's also other shareholders to consider! The policy of plundering other leagues' talent to make you happy and others cry must at least find some understanding and not this kind of egoistic fuming. You think NHL is best, could be, but that idea will hardly find much support throughout Europe, where Finns, Swedes, Czechs and Russkies quite justifiably take pride in their own leagues. So don't get bugged, just grow some tolerance. By the way, in Dynamo 2005 line-up he was one of many, and in the Washington Caps' quagmire he is one and only (with only maybe Koltzig to look good), so you judge about the level now, let alone his Dynamo contract was apprx. three times bigger. He fell for the hype but he must be getting sober about the Caps now. He'd be much less out of place in Montreal or Detroit. And it's the likes of the Washington Craps and other Penguins that better back off.
