The European Hockey.Net that is...
Without the help of many people who have freely given their time, the site wouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is now. However we feel we still have a long way to go, so all additional help is greatly appreciated!
Being a part of the greatest hockey site in Europe is easy. Nearly all scripts will be based on web forms, using a password you have access to the forms and can change the information displayed without coding up pages or uploading files:
Fixtures (Schedules/Results)
This script allows fixtures to be altered, results to be fed in. The output can be tailored to your
requirements if you wish to have these schedules on your site.
Standings
Using the results from the fixtures database, the latest standings are generated "on the fly" each
time a user calls them up. Enter the results after the game and the new league table appears for
the next visitor. Again, these can be tailored to your needs under the Associate Sites scheme.
Background, font, text colours... all can be controlled by you.
News
This will be easier to submit in the future. Scripts will allow us to check spelling and grammar
before the report goes online. News headlines will also be displayed on the individual country
pages (such as www.eurohockey.net/pl) allowing webmasters another time-saving option. Write for us
and link to us!
Team Info is another script where basic club, stadium and team information can be edited online.
I think you will see that working for European Hockey.Net will also save you time and will benefit all parties: Us in providing the pan-European service we are aiming for; you the busy webmaster; and www surfers who get the latest information whichever way they look at it. Locals will visit your site first, others will check the info on our site and come to yours if they need more background info.
How to become a Staff Member:
1) 'Apply' for Forum membership at
http://www.eurohockey.net/fans/members
and await your password.
2) Send us a separate e-mail to admin@eurohockey.net
saying you wish to become a Staff member
3) Add your personal details including site address to the Membership info database -
http://www.eurohockey.net/fans/members
- and you can also 'Change' your password there.
4) You'll receive a separate e-mail back to inform you that your Staff status has been activated
5) Then you can go to
http://www.eurohockey.net/staff and start working on the site!
