All Staff members now have this privilege added to their list. Please read the info through and make sure you understand it!

Updated 03.08.2001

Status

Rumoured: Only used where the transfer is expected to go ahead, but contracts haven't yet been signed.

Unconfirmed: You know from a source that the player has signed a new contract, but the information hasn't yet been officially released.

Confirmed: Used to indicate that the transfer has been officially released, by a press release either by the players former or new clubs, or former or new league.

Verified by club: used in conjunction with EH.N affiliate clubs

Interactivity

Two other sections of the site are important for Staff editing the Transfer database. The correct information MUST be used to produce the interactivity of this new section (links to player stats and team info pages). Tip: Open up an extra browser and switch between them, or compile the list first in a txt file and copy it over one-by-one.

Searching Player Names and EHPS Ref numbers:
http://www.eurohockey.net/players/home.shtml
This page is now online to the public. Do NOT use the old search engine on the old EHPS server. The EHPS Ref number is the number at the end of the URL of the player's stats page. For example: http://www.eurohockey.net/players/show_player.cgi?serial=321. Online, this can be found easiest by hovering over the link on the "player(s) found" screen when you have found the player in the Players section.

Searching Team Names:
This has now been simplified. Once you've completed the first screen and selected which country the player is going to, a second screen gives you the choice of teams in that country. Remember to uncheck the 'Unknown' box next to the team names.

Once you have added some transfers to the list, check the display and the links! List the transfers at:
http://www.eurohockey.net/news/transfers/

Other Transfer Editing info

League/Division names: Are currently ONLY necessary when referring to North American leagues... do not list them anywhere when referring to European teams.
Nationality: Choose the player's nationality from the menu. In the case of dual- or multi-nationals, use the most appropriate nationality. eg: A Euro-Canadian who plays for his national team should be listed under that nationality.
Position: Goal/Defence/Forward/Coach/Asst.coach - select the first letter
Team unknown? Leave blank - if the destination country is known this can be selected
Retired? Select "Other" as a Country and enter Retired in the Team box
Country: For non-European teams select "Other"
Country unknown? Select "Unknown"

It's a complex script but it's worth it I'm sure! We've finished "Edittransfers 2.0" now, any suggestions for further improvement, get in touch!
